Kohler
& Campbell pianos are prized by knowledgeable piano collectors
and aficionados the world over. Since 1896 they have been building
beautiful pianos with the most elegant cabinetry as expressed through
their unique woods and original designs. At the age of 20, Charles
Kohler embarked on a piano-making career. Considered a genius as
a factory organizer and businessman, he was the perfect complement
to John Calvin Campbell. Campbell was a machinist who invented several
wood and iron making machines and fell in love with piano making.
John Campbell has been credited with pioneering many manufacturing
techniques that instantly created more value for the dollar in Kohler
& Campbell pianos. The philosophy of quality and value has been
the cornerstone for Kohler & Campbell pianos for well over a
century, now produced in the renowned SMC piano factory.
